We took this photo at the Leela Palace in Chennai at a destination wedding in India. In addition to being DC wedding photographers, each of us is also a destination wedding photographer. We traveled to India specifically for this marriage celebration.
The highlight of the multi-day wedding was the guests pouring water on the mother of the groom to ritually wash her. We got this awesome picture during that. Our favorite element in this image is the serenity on the woman’s face. Even as gallons of water are washing over her head, she looks peaceful and lost in her prayers. Her ability to concentrate throughout that was really impressive!
